Perfect Rides -
I work with amazing frame artisans at Reparto Corse. In Italy my partners include Carrera, Casati, Ciocc, Olmo, Pantani, Tommasini, and Torelli. My American partners are Calfee, Cielo, Independent Fabrication, Soma, and Waterford. All provide a palette that starts with a correct bike fitting.
These are some of the perfect rides created at Reparto Corse
Ciocc built this frame as a customizable two part monocoque. Ciocc is known for an incredibly smooth ride thanks to a relaxed front geometry. At about 1000 grams with Record 11 parts it's light and perfect for long rides in the country.
The Corvid is Independent's only full carbon frame. Like all IF's it is made to measure from individual tubes to deliver the best ride possible. Low weight, smoothness and excellent power delivery all come together in the Corvid
DeBernardi is a limited production frame company created for the US market with the permission of Guido DeBernardi whose experience goes back to the early days of race bike building in Italy. It's a true value in small volume bike frames.
The steel Independent Crown Jewel is everything that a custom bike should be and an incredible value. Perfect for racing, training, the gran fondo or relaxing in the park. Every one is custom built to suit the rider in all respects.
The Corsa Pista is built in a small artisan shop near Milan. The geometry makes it at home on the track, but it can also be set up as a fixed-gear bike for road use as we did here. Custom touches are the drilled rear brake bridge and bottle cage drillings.
The Crono has been wind tunnel tested by Carrera Podium to refine its aero profile. It is built with shaped carbon tubing that is compacted in a autoclave and manually assembled using Carrera's “Laminated Carbon” technology.
The Retro is made with lugged Zona steel tubing from the famed tubing house of Columbus. The steel frame renaissance in America helped convince Ciocc to bring this classic style frame back into production. A fantastic ride in the modern tradition.
Waterford only makes custom frames in made to measure geometry with tubing individually selected to give you the desired feel and handling. Custom tubing is only the beginning - a choice of lug design, fork and unlimited paint options are all available.
Tommasini builds a full range of frames in all materials, but the Tecno is what they are known for and their most popular frame in the US. Its lugs are beautiful and matched by the great ride!
Calfee has been building carbon frames longer than anyone and continually refine their work with the latest technology. The Dragonfly, as with all Calfee models, is fully customizable for geometry and ride style, as well as paint like this blue and Porsche silver version.
The Soma Rush handling is fast enough for track racing and smooth enough for road riding. Thanks to the Tange Prestige steel tubes power transfer is very good whether sprinting or cranking uphill. The frame and fork are drilled for brakes. This happens to be one of my great rides!
The Demone is Casati's lightest carbon moncoque frame averaging 950 grams depending on size. Every Casasti is handbuilt at their shop in Monza. This 3rd generation company makes art best enjoyed in use on a ride!
