The Montefalco is a very lightweight full carbon semi-compact frameset contructed with Toray T800 Ultra High Modulus carbon. The Montefalco comes with a full carbon fork, integrated headset and seat collar. The headset is oversized tapered, being 1.5" at the bottom for increased stiffness. The construction method is "tube-to-tube" (mitering and joining individual tubes). Ultra High Modulus carbon enables greater stiffness at a much lighter weight. The Montefalco is then wraped with a distinctive 3k weave and finished with a luxurious pearl white and red paint. Over the years, as technical advances have occurred, Torelli has continually improved their favorite bike. Materials: Columbus' Spirit Niobium tubing is made from a steel alloy specifically designed for bicycle frames. Spirit tubing has an enhanced resistance to corrosion and Toreeli uses a small frame building shop in Piemonte, in the Italian Alps, to build the Nitro Express. The workmanship is superb. Torelli Tipo Uno Single Speed Complete Bike -- The Torelli Tipo Uno has a relaxed track geometry, making it suitable for the road. The retro-panel paint, non-obtrusive decal design and leather accessories recall another time when all the world was bike-mad and the urban speed demons, called "Scorchers", were riders on fixed-gear bikes. Torelli did a great job of utilizing up to date parts throughout on the Tipo Uno and came up with a classic looking complete single speed any cyclist would be proud to own. You can get your Tip Uno with either track drop bars or bullhorn bars. Whichever style you choose, you also get your choice of bar width: 40, 42 or 44 cm measured center to center. The correct brake levers are included for a given bar. The frame is double-butted chrome-moly steel and tig welded. The fork is threadless with straight blades brazed into an investment cast fork crown. The head tube is 1 1/8" diameter. Threading is English. The rear dropouts have integral rear dropout adjusters. The top tube is 28mm and the downtube is 32mm in diameter. The wheels are Torelli 36-hole sealed bearing track hubs laced with stainless 2.0 (14 gauge) spoke onto Alex DA22 double-walled rims.
