The Ti Crown Jewel made history upon its introduction in 2001 by being the first titanium frame to be shot peened. Shot peening the aero-space grade 3/2.5 titanium tubing provides a uniquely lustrous finish, stress relieves the frame and dramatically increases the fatigue life in the heat affected zones. The main triangle custom butted with precise centerless grinding and the dropouts are done in custom machined 6/4 ti. Options for the Crown Jewel include carbon stays ($4400).

The XS is made with the best US Aerospace grade titanium coupled with carbon fiber tubes made specifically for IF by EDGE Composites to give your new bike ideal ride characteristics for your body, weight, and riding style. They miter each carbon tube to fit all of the way into the lug to maximize the glue overlap. Every angle, every tube specification, every option is selected per bicycle. No two have been, nor will likely be, built the same. Each frame is as unique as its rider. All IF designed and manufactured shot peened titanium lugs were developed to maximize strength, minimize weight, deliver optimum performance and incredible style. The carbon tubes are bonded into the custom lugs with high tech, high strength epoxies. These are the same epoxies used throughout the aerospace industry in applications where maximum strength and durability are required. The the dropouts are done in custom machined 6/4 ti. Each component of the frame is an individual monocoque molding of the highest quality carbon fiber and resin available that are bonded together using the latest aerospace adhesive technology. Each tube is mitered all the way through the lugs to provide the maximum bonding surface and structural integrity. Each tube is mitered to fit its lug just as a lugged steel frame would be. The IF Factory Lightweight is an ultra-light steel road frame based on the race-proven Crown Jewel, the Factory Lightweight is the lightest steel frame IF can build. Expect a 3lb or less frame weight depending on size. Every aspect of this frame has been dialed in to maximize its potential. The tubing is so thin on this model that IF purges the inside of the frame, through a series of drilled holes, to assure the highest quality welds. Its full custom geometry and precise welds stand up to the brutal everyday racing conditions of cycloscross. The Planet Cross has added chainstay clearance for rapid evacuation of mud, a tall bottom bracket for clearing obstacles, ample room in the mainframe for portaging, and a front end that maximizes its handling characteristics. The Planet X is available in steel ($2475 with a carbon fork) or titanium ($3780 with a steel fork and $4000 with the carbon fork) and as with just about all IF models it can be designed with S&S couplers to make travel even easier.

The Club Racer is identical in attitude to the Crown Jewel for its light weight and refined performance, but designed for long reach calipers to allow access to larger tires and full fenders. IF uses a custom blend of steel tubing from Reynolds, Dedacciai and Columbus to best suit each owner's style and riding demands. The Club Racer is the perfect first or second bicycle for all year training, commuting, or all out racing. You can easily strip the fenders off and mix it up in your local weekly criteriums, but it comes standard with a full set of eyelets if you are ever overcome with thoughts of light touring.
