HED decided it was appropriate to design a TT frame that could take full advantage of their incredibly fast wheels so they designed the Aerolab TT frame.

Constructed from triple butted, custom drawn, aerospace aluminum with a carbon seat and chain stays. Each frame comes complete with their all carbon aero fork, headset, and carbon aero seat post. They have also included important design features like a removable front derailleur hanger and integrated head tube cable routing.

Carrera Crono Carbon Frame -- The Carbon Crono monocoque frame is realized using “Solid Carbon” technology and is wind-designed for time trial competitions on roads or tracks. It conforms to the requisites demanded by UCI standards. The particular shape of the frame is specifically designed for a high co-efficient of aerodynamic penetration and extraordinary stiffness. Frames are hand made in a mould and superimposed with strips of mono and bi-directional high module (HM) and high resistance (HR) carbon. Kevlar structural reinforcements are consolidated in a high pressure autoclave employing the “sack” technique. The monocoque structure obtained with this method has obvious advantages in regards to strength, stiffness and low weight. Research in the aerodynamic sector has led to the development of a geometry that allows the athlete to sit low on the head tube to im-prove the entire aerodynamic efficiency. Carrera Crono WB Frame -- CRONO WB CARRERA frames offer the athlete the light weight of the 7005 T6 aluminium alloy employed in triple butted thickness tubes to increase stiffness and re-activity. It is TIG welded and undergoes solubilization process that ages and pre-tensions the alloy. The frame is equipped with a monostay RC2 carbon rear cage and aerodynamic carbon Crono fork with carbon wing blades. These characteristics gives the Crono frame high performance and is extremely effective in transmitting the athlete’s effort to the wheels. Despite the high quality of the materials used the final price remains rather low due to the high level of technology used by CARRERA in manufacturing frames using special aluminium alloys.
