Coppi 7005 Carbon
-- $1,150.00
-- Fausto Coppi is a legendary figure in cycling, a name that is now part of Italian culture above and beyond the sport itself. People refer to him by his nickname, II Campionissimo. True to this heritage, Fausto Coppi framesets are crafted one at a time--just like in the old days-by the Masciaghi group under the gifted guidance of master frame builder, Giovanni Pellizoli.
The Masciaghi Brothers story is typically Italian. When Masciaghi was constituted in 1967, it was a very small company that made bicycles for leisure. 1994 marked a fundamental period in time because the Masciaghi Brothers, after having purchased the rights to the "Fausto Coppi" brand, decided to enter the world of bicycle racing: this became the door that opened to international renown.
The successes in racing have been many, including victories by Gianni Bugno, Michele Bartoli, Mauro Gianetti, Luc Leblanc, Pascal Richard, Fabiana Luperini and Valeria Cappellotto at the highest professional and international levels of competition proving that the beauty of a Fausto Coppi frame is much more than skin deep.
The 7005 Carbon is shown here with the Campagnolo 10 speed Centaur Kit and Zonda wheels. It is available in sloping and standard geometry. This frame is light and responsive, it is enriched with carbon seatstays and an integrated fork for a smooth and comfortable ride.
