The popularity of Ciocc reached its peak at the 1977 World Championships in San Cristobal, Venezuela when Claudio Corti captured the road event on a Ciocc frame. Stefano and Candido Bonati, Giovanni's old apprentices, continue to produce frames that reflect the same meticulous attention to detail and superior performance of the early days. Challenger combines a Dedacciai SC61.10 Aluminum main frame with carbon seat stays and fork that keep the rideof this bike amazingly comfortable and responsive at the same time. The ride is buttery smooth and exceptionally responsive. The frame weighs 1.1 kg and the fork is an oversized all carbon Deda Blades model. An integrated headset is included with the frame.
