The club has a rich cycling history that is being added to every season by its current roster of 100 plus members. USI and Soul Bikes have teamed up to deliver a dream bike for the USI Centennial. Soul Bikes owner and USI member, Sean Wai Kar Thai will provide the winner of the USI Centennial Bike Raffle a completely custom made to measure Soul Bike Corpus frameset elegantly finished in a USI blue to clear coat fade. The Corpus is Soul Bike's lightweight racing model. It is constructed with oversized, shaped, double butted titanium 3AL/2.5V tubing. The Corpus is designed to be super light and stiff for fast acceleration, but vertically compliant for a comforting ride on the rough bits. The Corpus frameset will include a 1 1/8" carbon fork. It uses an English bb, a 32mm clamp front derailleur, and a 27.2mm seat post. The Corpus retails for the frame only at $1200 so this is a great deal. The custom fitting aspect alone is worth between $150 and $250! Tickets are limited to 100 to honor the USI Centennial. The drawing will take place when 100 tickets have been sold. Funds from the sale of raffle tickets will go to the USI Centennial Fund to defray the costs of club activiites for its members during the 2008 Centennial Celebration. To celebrate the USI Centennial in 2008 sponsor Brio provided USI with a dinner for two at their fantastic restaurant! Eating at brio is as close to a trip to Italy as you can get. Dining at brio will take you back to your favorite spot in bell'Italia whether it is on the Mediterranean, in the wine country, or the gentle hills of Tuscany. Best of all, brio is owned by our friend, sponsor and cyclist, Massimo Scotti and his family. Let Massimo know you're planning to eat at brio and he'll be at your table to discuss your favorite rides and bikes. Dinner for two at Brio is typically $150 and up so this is a great deal! Tickets are limited to 100 to honor the USI Centennial. The drawing will take place when 100 tickets have been sold.
